The latest addition to the San Francisco social calendar, the 2008 Edgewood Hope Ball will take place on Saturday, October 25th. This event will be held at historic San Francisco City Hall. Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets early, as last year's Hope Ball sold out more than a month before the event. Hundreds of the Bay Area's most polished denizens will be attending this night of sumptuous dining, dancing, and exciting auctions. All proceeds from the Hope Ball will benefit Edgewood Center for Children and Families.

Benefactor and above ticket-holders and sponsors are invited to a private Edgewood Hope Ball pre-party honoring Mayor Gavin Newsom. The Mayor is the key City official responsible for saving Edgewood’s residential treatment program for San Francisco’s children who are burdened by severe mental illness and emotional distress. The restoration of essential City funding in this year’s budget — combined with generous contributions from Edgewood donors — will allow Edgewood to continue to provide life-saving, around-the-clock care to severely abused and neglected children in San Francisco. Space is limited.
