Monica is responsible for the oversight, design, and management of all clinical services components across Edgewood’s continuum of care in three regions. Her role assesses new programmatic opportunities suitability and alignment with Edgewood’s mission. Additionally, she is responsible for implementing and overseeing program evaluation and outcome studies with Research, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and all regulatory bodies, serving as a key strategic partner on the Executive Team for organizational development and coordinating actively with the CEO, CFA, the Edgewood Board of Directors, and external agency partners. Campus Services/Operations, Community-Based Services, the San Mateo Region, Quality Assurance, Research & Outcomes, and Learning & Development all report to Monica’s position.

Monica was formerly the Executive Director of the San Mateo Region before her promotion to Edgewood’s Acting Chief of Programs. Monica continues to serve as the ongoing Chair for the San Mateo County Contractors’ Association, and has historically held the role as co-chair for the San Mateo County Co-Occurring Steering Committee. She has worked with children and families in the mental health field for over 14 years, working in direct service, program development and management roles. She holds an MA in Counseling for Marriage and Family Therapy, a BA in Child/Adolescent Psychology, and is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Monica spent 5 years working as an Adjunct Faculty member for her Alma Mater, Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, teaching several courses in the Masters counseling program and also serving as a thesis advisor for graduate students.
