Dr. Randall is responsible for the medical program at Edgewood. He joined Edgewood in 1999 as an Associate Medical Director serving youth and their families in both intensive and community-based settings. In 2015, he was promoted to Medical Director. He is board certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Randall has served as a consulting psychiatrist for Westside Community Services and Walden House, Inc. He has also served as Interim Division Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Interim Program Training Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at UCSF. He is also a volunteer clinical faculty member at UCSF and Site Training Director for the UCSF Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Program on the Edgewood campus. Dr. Randall has also held several offices in local and statewide professional psychiatry organizations including the Northern California Psychiatric Society, the Northern California Regional Organization of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the California Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Randall received his MD and MPH degrees from Tulane University School of Medicine and Tulane School of Public Health. He completed his adult and child and adolescent psychiatry training at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is on the board of Equilibrium Dynamics, a small non-profit that teaches emotional competence. He also serves on the Community Clinics Committee of the Children’s Health Council. He was recently awarded the distinguished J. Elliot Royer Award for Excellence in Community Psychiatry from the University of California San Francisco.
