Edgewood Day

San Francisco City Council designated March 3rd as Edgewood Day

We were thrilled that Supervisor Alan Wong of District 4 and Supervisor Myrna Melgar of District 7 presented a resolution designating March 3rd, 2026 as “Edgewood Day” in San Francisco aligning with World Teen Mental Wellness Day on March 2nd. This moment marked the opening of the public celebrations of Edgewood’s important anniversary.

For 175 years, San Franciscans have turned to Edgewood in times of crisis and change through pandemics, economic hardship, social movements, and today’s youth mental health crisis.

This new Edgewood Day honors this enduring legacy of care and recognizes the many thousands of young people and families whose lives have been strengthened by Edgewood. At the same time, it serves as an important affirmation of the City’s commitment to youth mental health, wellness, and hope for future generations.

Make a Difference!

Now more than ever, Edgewood needs your support! Please consider making a donation today to support the critical mental healthcare, wraparound support, and community service needs of our youth, young adults, and families.
