Justine King, LMFT, LPCC, is Director of Edgewood’s Crisis Stabilization Unit. She shares with us why giving to Edgewood is so important on this Giving Tuesday.
At Edgewood’s Crisis Stabilization Unit, we have the privilege of walking alongside young people and families during some of the most frightening and uncertain moments in their lives. We offer a safe, compassionate space where they can begin to heal, find hope, and rediscover their strength.
One young person came to us in deep crisis and, months later, returned, wearing a graduation cap and gown, simply to say thank you. Moments like that remind us why our work matters.
Our Crisis Stabilization Unit is a safe, child-centered alternative to a traditional hospital emergency room for children and teens experiencing a mental health crisis. Our dedicated team delivers compassionate, trauma-informed care to children, adolescents up to age 17, and their families. This expert youth mental healthcare is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year long.
Your support this Giving Tuesday makes hope possible as we help thousands of youth and their families find stability, healing, and a brighter future.
