To our clients, partners, and members of the communities Edgewood serves:
We are aware of recent reports that federal agents may be deployed to the Bay Area as part of a national directive to remove individuals without legal immigration status. Although this order has since been temporarily rescinded for our region, we understand that the situation remains fluid.
At Edgewood, our mission is rooted in compassion, inclusion, and the unwavering belief that every child and family deserves safety, dignity, and respect. We know that many in our community are feeling frightened and vulnerable right now, and we want to reaffirm: you are not alone. We stand firmly with you, and we remain committed to providing safe and respectful care and support to all whom we serve, regardless of immigration status, sexual orientation, gender, or ethnicity.
While we do not anticipate our facilities will be directly affected should federal actions resume, we encourage everyone to remain calm, stay informed, and continue to support one another. Our staff will ensure that every Edgewood space remains a safe and welcoming place for all.
Please also remember:
- Edgewood does not collect or share information about immigration status.
- Our facilities are safe spaces focused on care, healing, and support.
- We will continue working closely with our community and government partners across the Bay Area to ensure families have access to reliable information, emotional support, and needed resources.
If a client or a family member you know is feeling anxious or uncertain, please reach out to your therapist, case manager, or peer partner so we can offer counseling and support. We will continue to share trustworthy updates and community resources as they become available.
Below is a list of additional resources to share:
SF Rapid Response Network, which connects people affected by immigration enforcement activities with legal and support services, including a 24-hour Rapid Response hotline at 415-200-1548.
San Francisco Immigrant Forum maintains a list of resources for individuals seeking immigration legal help.
The Bar Association of San Francisco, which has an Immigration Legal Defense Program that connects individuals with immigration attorneys.
San Francisco Office of Civic Engagement and Immigrant Affairs’ website.
San Mateo County Office of Community Affairs Immigrant Resources‘ website.
In moments like these, our greatest strength lies in our compassion for one another. Thank you for upholding Edgewood’s values of compassionate care and inclusion.
With appreciation and solidarity,
The Edgewood Team
