At the heart of our approach to youth mental health is a comprehensive, family-centered model that addresses the full spectrum of mental health needs. Young people in crisis need safety and structure to thrive. That’s why we offer a continuum of care, from crisis, residential, or outpatient treatment on our San Francisco campus to in-home support and community-based services.

When your child or foster placement is in crisis, we’re here. Our Crisis Stabilization Unit can assess and stabilize young people between the ages of 6 and 17 (or as young as 5 if medically appropriate) experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms or a mental health crisis.
Our residential or partially residential programs, focused on youth ages 12-17, are designed to stabilize a young person in crisis, increase safety, and decrease high risk behaviors.
We’re here for you and your family after an emotional crisis. After a young person is stabilized, our Intensive Outpatient Services (IOS) provides supervision, monitoring, and support.
Edgewood’s Non-Public School (NPS) is for high school youth between the ages of 14 and 22 who have been diagnosed with serious emotional disturbance and who would benefit from a structured, therapeutic setting.
