Edgewood Center for Children and Families will be featured in a one hour virtual town hall hosted by ABC7 from 4 to 5 p.m. this Thursday, May 21, on the impact COVID-19 is having on our mental health as part of an ongoing honoring of May as Mental Health Awareness Month.
Dr. Christine Garcia, Edgewood’s San Francisco Regional Director, will join Dr. Nadine Burke Harris, and other local experts, to discuss how to help families with children deal with COVID-19 related loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, and the fear and uncertainty that this global pandemic has awakened in all of us.
This interactive event is an opportunity for members of the community to come together to learn about real solutions that are available for children, youth, and families struggling with difficult mental health symptoms.
